On 21 June, the entire world celebrated fifth International Yoga day. The theme for this year yoga day was ”Yoga for heart”. Yoga is a practice to keep mind, body and soul healthy. It originated in ancient India and became popular in west in the 20th century. Yoga is derived from the Sanskrit word yuj which means union or combination.
Cynoteck also celebrated 5th International Yoga day 2019 in the campus to raise awareness about the benefits of an ancient Indian practice among the employees. A professional trainer was hired who informed about the benefits of practicing yoga daily and the employees also did yoga session under his supervision. The trainer explained the difference between asanas which is a physical activity to keep body fit and pranyam which is basically a breathing technique.
Employees performed different asanas like Tadasana, Vrikshasana, Adho mukho svanasana, Trikonasana, Naukasana, Bhujangasana, Paschimottasana and Sukhasana to name a few. Employees also learned some pranayama like Kapalbhati and Anuloma Viloma.
All in all Cynoteck Team members had a great time and it was quite a learning experience.
