Enhancing Patient Care: AI-Powered Cold Therapy Assistant for Beck Health 

The client is a healthcare startup, committed to delivering advanced medical services and innovative health solutions to improve patient outcomes and enhance operational efficiency. 

Project Brief

The client aimed to design a generative AI based assistant capable of interacting with the users and assisting them in cold therapy in general where users can also ask questions related to the therapy. Their goal was to enhance patient service and support systems and streamline operations. 

Solution Delivered

Collaborating with Beck Health System, we initiated the project with comprehensive discovery meetings to thoroughly understand the requirements and establish a clear product backlog. Our team developed the following key components of the system:    

AI-Powered SMS Assistant: The assistant was designed to take user queries related to cold therapy in general, understand the context and provide guidance to users regarding using the product and for how much duration they should use it as per their needs. The AI assistant can take queries in multiple languages but answer them only in English language. The solution was based on Azure OpenAI's 4 Omni series Large Language Models (LLMs), capable of processing up to 32,000 tokens, to facilitate intelligent and responsive interactions with users.

Advanced Data Handling and Cloud Hosting:The solution used LangChain for efficient processing of large user queries and provided answers accordingly. Azure provided scalable, secure cloud infrastructure, and ensured high availability, disaster recovery, and seamless scalability for critical applications and data.

Efficient Memory and Task Management: Used SQL Server for storing all user chat data, providing long-term data storage, Redis for real-time caching of queries, and Celery for handling queries asynchronously.

Secure and Scalable Data Storage: Used Azure Search Index for storing the vector representation of the knowledge dataset. This enabled efficient and accurate retrieval of relevant information, facilitating advanced data analysis and AI-driven insights.
