Deployment of an Advanced Tracking System for Fabrication Management

The client is a structural steel fabrication company with extensive experience in a full range of metal fabrications. Their capabilities encompass everything from initial design and engineering to precision fabrication and final installation.

Project Brief

The client required a comprehensive tracking system to manage trackers and pieces across various schedules and modules. The system needed functionalities for managing and approving items, along with administrative capabilities to restore deleted trackers. Essential features included auto-suggestions, multi-file attachment, file importing, and drag-and-drop capabilities. Additionally, the solution required robust reporting, tagging, and charting features to monitor trackers and their progress through different stages. Ensuring user-friendliness was crucial to enable users to efficiently manage trackers while allowing administrators to maintain control.

Solution Delivered

Following a thorough analysis of the client’s business requirements, we developed a strategic plan to deliver an optimal solution:

A user portal was developed, enabling users to securely log in, input tracker details, approve trackers, and progress them through various stages of the workflow. The portal was designed to perform dynamic calculations based on the data provided, ensuring real-time accuracy and efficiency in the management and processing of trackers.

Custom auto-suggestions and drag and drop capabilities were built to make the user experience more intuitive and easier to use.

Employed standard Salesforce reporting tools and Google Charts to track and visualize tracker data.
